Welcome to the official site of National Amateur BodyBuilding and Armwrestling Association of Ukraine.Our association promotes bodybuilding, powerlifting and armwrestling in Ukraine. Here you can get to know the history of NABBA, its work, activities and plans. You can also find here official as well as the subject information on bodybuilding.powerlifting and armwrestling As our site is developed we will be trying to vary it to the maximum extent in order to deal with and to the most elucidate questions and events in the bodybuilding, powerlifting and armwrestling world.
At the very beginning we would like to explain the conception of NABBA UA. Our aim is the maximal attraction of amateur athlets to and involving in participation in contests, as it is a powerful stimulus to their development and perfection.We successfully promote sporting activities of our Association in country and abroad with our own efforts and powers.
Considering realities of our life and preserving traditions of amateur status we do not establish an authoritarian management system. We prefer associated membership in the organization instead, providing by this means regional representatives with maximal possibilities and rights within structure of NABBA UA. This system is extremely flexible and allows using existing potential to the greatest possible degree. Permission given our athletes to compete in contests held by other federations and associations is a distinctive feature of our Association. We do believe that only sportsman bound by an official contract, that is financed by the organization, can be restricted as stipulated by the contract. In contrast to practically all similar organizations we do not charge membership dues but settle financial matters of the Association by other means. Hence conditions for accessibility and mass membership in NABBA UA are created.
The principles of democracy in our sport have come from its beginnings in the USSR. Remember the time when dirty and neglected cellars throughout the country through concerned efforts were turned into gyms, the cult temples of bodybuilding. This is a real people's sport!
